Gutters are measured along the eaves with a 3–5 mm/m fall towards the downpipe. One downpipe serves up to ~10 m of gutter, roughly 100 m² of roof slope. Gutter brackets go every 50–60 cm, pipe clamps roughly every 2 m and at every joint.
The calculator counts gutters in standard lengths, connectors, corners, end caps, outlets, bends and downpipes with clamps. System size (125/90, 150/100) is chosen by roof area — a big roof needs more capacity, especially in heavy Latvian rain.
Gutter length comes from total eaves length, while downpipe count and system size depend on drained roof area, outlet positions and manufacturer tables. The calculator totals gutters, brackets, connectors, corners, outlets, pipes, bends and clamps.
Quantities must be rounded to the standard lengths and packs of the selected system. Building corners, eaves geometry and distance to the drain can change bend and pipe quantities.
No. Number and diameter depend on roof area, geometry and system capacity. Use the manufacturer sizing table.
Divide gutter length by the selected spacing and add brackets at ends, joints and outlets as required by the system.
Water must be directed so it does not collect at foundations, using storm drainage, infiltration or safe surface fall.
